My Little Valentine

    "Kageyama! I found her…" Hinata trailed off once he laid eyes on you. "You're… really shorter than me." Hinata said in disbelief.

    "Um… yes." you answered, trying not to stare into his beaming eyes.

    "You're really cute, too." he said, moving closer to your face.

    "Um… thank you." you answered, blushing.

    "Come with me! I need to take you to Kageyama!" Hinata shouted, grabbing your hand.

    He dashed towards the gym, barely dodging the other students in the hallway. You barely kept up with him. Once you got to the gym entrance, Hinata tripped over the small step, and both of you were sent flying.

    "Nice Hinata! Way to make an entrance!" a bald upperclassman said, giving him the thumbs up.

    "Was that rolling thunder?" a littler upperclassman with dyed hair questioned.

    "Who is that?" one guy finally asked, pointing at you. All eyes were on you now.

    "This is _______ _______. She's in my grade, and she's really cute. And she's shorter than me!" Hinata cheered.

    "Huh? No way." baldy said, examining you.

    Then, a tall, dark figure entered the room. Kageyama Tobio.

    "Oh, Hinata. You found her." Kageyama said before walking towards you.

    You became nervous, so you tried to hide yourself behind Hinata, but that didn't work out so well since he was only a few centimetres taller than you. Hinata glanced back at you and saw how scared you looked. Kageyama was almost in front of you.

    "Move." Kageyama ordered.

    Hinata didn't budge. Then, he stuck his arms out. Then, he flew.

    The moment Hinata flew up into the air, your heart did backflips.

    It was like he was in slow motion. He was up there for such a long time.

    Time sped up again once his shoes squeaked against the gym floor.

    "Stay there, Kageyama. You're scaring her." Hinata said, still protecting you.

    "Huh? What was that?" Kageyama scoffed.

    "You look pretty creepy because of your face, but from down here it's worse." Hinata explained.

    "Oi-" Kageyama started, but stopped once he looked at you. "Um… sorry _______. If I scared you that is…" Kageyama awkwardly started. "I'm Kageyama Tobio." he continued.

    "I know." you interrupted. "I'm in your class."

    "Right. So um… I don't know how to ask this but…" Kageyama muttered before stopping. He was too embarrassed to continue, so Hinata jumped in.

    "Kageyama thinks you're cute!" Hinata shouted.

    "Idiot!" Kageyama yelled before hitting Hinata on the head.

    "Sorry, Kageyama-san, but I-" you started.

    "Wait! I do think you're cute! But the real reason I asked Hinata to bring you here is because… well… you're shorter than him." Kageyama admitted.

    "Huh?" you and Hinata asked.

    "And I… I just thought that you'd make a cute little couple." Kageyama said, turning red.

    "HUH!?!?" you and Hinata screamed, turning red.

    "The other day, Hinata was complaining about girls not giving him chocolate because he's shorter than them. And… well… I thought maybe since you're shorter than him you might fall in love with him and make him chocolate… But this is only because Hinata's been distracted during practice! It's not like I care or anything." Kageyama lied. "So anyways, sorry if you thought I was interested in you." Kageyama finished before being teased by the other teammates.

    "Hinata… can I talk to you outside?" you quietly asked him.

    "Sure." Hinata said quietly, blushing a bit.

    The entire volleyball team cheered and whistled as the two of you shuffled outside.

    "Hinata… if you really want… I can make you chocolate for Valentine's Day." you shyly told him.

    "Really? You don't have to just because Kageyama said so." Hinata said, bright red.

    "No, really. I want to. I think you're pretty amazing. Even though you're not much taller than me you can stand up to guys like Kageyama-san. When I saw you jump… it made my heart go… gwah!" you tried to explain.

    Hinata's eyes widened at your words. "_______, please make chocolates for me! And please be my Valentine!" Hinata shouted.

    "I'd be happy to have a cute little Valentine like you." you said, finally revealing your smile.

    Hinata turned his head away slightly before saying, "I'm happy to have a cute little Valentine like you, too."

    Shortly after, Hinata ran back to practice, afraid his heart would gwah and then boom if he kept looking at your cute little smile.
