How Izaya Fell For You {Part 1 of 2 Parts}

The 10 Stages of Love Challenge

Music

1. First Sight

You fell in love at first sight. You knew from the moment you stepped out of the train that you loved Ikebukuro. Sure it wasn't the safest city in the world, but it was exponentially more interesting than your hometown. Unlike most people, you had always dreamt of a life like this. All you had with you was a credit card. You were going to find a place and a job in the city. A simple city life that entailed independence and responsibility waited for you.

The station was busy. Even at the platform, the amount of people bustling was crazy. You wondered how many people you saw who you would never see again, even if you were only to walk by each other without noticing. You were already so interested in Ikebukuro, and you had only just arrived. Everything about it was appealing. You didn't know anyone here and that was wonderful.

You only knew three things about Ikebukuro so far. One: there are tons of crazy urban legends out there about the city about gangs and stuff. Two: it smells bad. Three: there are many people in the city, and now you were one of them. Most people would never do this. You were not most people. You were pretty confident in your ability to survive in the urban jungle. After all, you have good instincts. Not only that, but you are the smartest person you know.

Yes, you are a genius. You could probably be doing something like studying in medical school, but that's no fun. You were never one for the snobby rich life you lived back with your parents. It was dreadfully boring. Over the years, people would tell you about your amazing academic potential. Sure you have potential, but you'd rather use it for other things. You just needed to get out of there, so here you were. This environment is so edgy. It's nothing like back home.

The tasks at hand were simple. All you had to do was make sure you didn't lose your credit card. You would just avoid alleys and places with less people. Plus, it was noon, so it's not like gangsters were going to attack you in broad daylight. Next, you would have to find a job. Finding a good job will be a bit of a challenge, but once you do, you can easily get it. You weren't dressed nicely, but depending on how serious the job was, you could use your money to buy nicer clothes. Speaking of money, you should go spend it on a new place. You told yourself, "Just don't get mugged."

You stepped out of the station, the buzzing city making you feel alive. You were actually doing it! Not that you were surprised or anything. You had never seen more cars or people in your life. It was fascinating. Oh right, you can't get distracted. All you have to do now is keep your credit card safe. You looked around to make sure there were no sketchy characters near you. After all, you were an attractive female who was completely alone.

You didn't see anybody particularly sketchy hanging around that close to you, so you started wandering the streets. As you walked, you became increasingly paranoid. You felt like you were being watched or followed, maybe both. For some reason, hopefully not for the obvious reason, you felt like somebody was a few yards away from you.

To test your new hypothesis, you began to walk faster. You sped up, going at a normal city pace, and turned a corner of a building. You were getting further and further away from the large crowds of the city. You knew it was risky, but you just had to see if you already had a stalker. You approached a row of closed buildings. Perfect. You sped up, going at an unnatural pace, and made a sharp turn. Quickly, you pivoted and halted.

You were shocked. Someone was following you, and you just caught them redhanded. For an instant, you saw a young man standing before you. You were able to catch red eyes first. They contrasted dark, spiky hair. He was wearing a dark fur-lined coat. This was all you were able to absorb. He gave you a smirk, as if he was amused or satisfied, then vanished. That smile, it haunted you.

Even though he vanished, you ran away. You knew that this city wasn't the safest choice, but you already had a stalker on the first day! You hoped that he was really just a shy guy trying to approach you, even though you highly doubted it. Stopping and panting, you collected yourself. All you needed to focus on was not getting mugged, getting a job, and getting a place.

2. Introduction

You were able to find a random job a sushi place. Sure it was smelly, but the whole city smelled bad anyways. You also got to eat free food. You already completely bought an apartment, so you didn't need to pay rent. You even got some nice furniture and stuff. You kept the furniture simple, but since you live alone, so it's fine. It's not like you know anyone to invite over yet. It's definitely not like anybody else is going to live with you. You came to the city to live on your own.

You only kind of knew of a total of five people. The first person was your stalker. He was obviously hard to forget. If you ever see him again, you'll be sure to call the cops. You only saw him for a second, but you'd remember that guy anywhere. You began to worry about if you'd ever be able to forget him because that's some pretty freaky stuff.

The next person you met was your boss, Simon. He was out in the streets promoting his place. He didn't really speak japanese that well, so you offered to get costumers for him. He gladly accepted your offer claiming that you would attract many new costumers, especially men. You scrunched face when you heard this, but you were glad to pick up a job there. Your stalker can't attack you when you're in the middle of a crowd.

Simon was really the only person you formally met. You heard rumors about some headless rider. You weren't really sure what to think about this person, so the mystery somewhat interested you. However, you didn't really hear much about this person, so you weren't that excited to meet them. You made a mental note to look into meeting this urban legend anyways.

Another person you heard of was Shizuo Heiwajima. Apparently, you shouldn't piss that guy off. You heard warnings about the beast in the bartender suit. You didn't know what a bartender was supposed to dress like, but you'd make sure to be careful around any oddly dressed men. In any case, you still really wanted to meet him.

The last person you heard about was Izaya Orihara. It's said that he can go against that monster of a man, Shizuo. He must be pretty intimidating. This person intrigued you the most. You heard he was an informant. Surely it would be interesting to know all about this city. You really wanted to meet this man. After all, he could give you information about the other legendary myths floating around the city.

You wanted to talk to Izaya Orihara about the man who was following you. As you eased into your new daily life, you still felt uncomfortable. You quickly realized that it was due to your stalker. You weren't sure what they wanted or if they knew anything about you, but anything is possible. Therefore, you decided to think of the worst it could be to make you feel better. It did the opposite.

Worst case scenario, this man is Shizuo Heiwajima, and you owe him money. No, that's not really the worst, is it? Worst case scenario, this man is Izaya Orihara, and he knows everything about you. That, and he's a deranged psychopath who tortures for sport. Torture is the worst, at least Shizuo would punch you once and the all pain would be over with. If Izaya Orihara is a bad man, then he was certainly more dangerous than Shizuo Heiwajima. With that, you prepared for the very worst if your stalker ever made his move. If only you weren't so close to the truth.

Lately, you've become able to sense your stalker's presence. You can tell when he's there or not. It's been a month since you've settled in, and something has been bugging you for a couple days now. Recently, something has been off. You weren't sure if this stalker is in a gang or something, but you felt like you were being heavily followed.

There you stood, late at night, holding a sign for Russian Sushi. You were feeling a bit paranoid. The city comes to life at night, but in a bad way. When the sun sinks down, peoples' pants sink lower and lower to the ground. Seeing a group of gangsters walking by became way too casual to you for your liking. You wanted this life, but you never expected there to be this many gangs. You began to wonder how big the Dollars, a gang made up of anonymous members based off the web, really were.

Crap, you lost your focus. A group of guys started to approach you. You didn't really want to assume they were gangsters, but you noticed something. They were all wearing some article of yellow clothing. Since you've been in the city for a month, you've heard about their gang before. They're a color gang, meaning they wear matching colors. The Yellow Scarves were notorious in this area for being a violent gang.

"Hey cutie, we've had our eyes on you for a couples of days now. We're in the Yellow Scarves. You should come with us some time. We could show you around." A particularly ugly member spoke.

You mentally noted that gang members are pretty open about being in a gang. Maybe being in a gang was something that normal guys who weren't picking up girls did. Who knows? Hopefully, they're just being nice, but you really, really, doubt it. Immediately, your brain shoots a worst case scenario at you to prepare yourself, but it's too awful to imagine.

They seemed to have this pretty planned out, I mean had two days to think about it. They must have waited until Simon was out on a delivery before making a move. How annoying. They circled you and started moving in. One by one, the members started to pull out lead pipes and crowbars. One guy, the ugly one, swung his around his shoulder, hitting a stranger behind him.

"What the hell do you guys think you're doing, huh?" A deep voice questioned. A very tall man stepped out of the shadows. The first thing you noticed was the hair. It was blonde. He was wearing shades... at night? Only total badasses can pull that off. He looked like a badass guy because he had a sweet getup. His mouth held a cigarette, but it dropped to the ground. His foot smushed it. You could tell that this guy came to fuck shit up.

"Wait a minute, a bartender outfit? Hiroshi, you idiot! Do you know who that is? That's Shizuo Heiwajima!" One of them yelled. How interesting. You smiled knowing that this guy totally just saved your ass. Most of the guys ran off, but Hiroshi was frozen with fear. Shizuo started to pry a nearby streetlight out of the ground. Your jaw dropped. He threw it over his head like how a kid would throw a pillow during a pillow fight. It hit Hiroshi and ripped up the ground.

Currently, you were on the ground. You weren't exactly sure how you ended up there. Maybe the impact of his power managed to hit you. Wait, how are you not dead right now? Is this real life? And what the hell is on top of you? Oh, your eyes are shut. You opened your eyes. Your breath caught in your throat. Crimson eyes with a dangerous look in them pierced yours. There was that smirk again.

Here's a question that would have never crossed your mind back home: your stalker just saved your life, how should you feel? Here's another: the man who tried to save you almost killed you, now what?

You looked back at Shizuo. He was breathing heavily. It kind of scared you. Something in him had definitely changed. He was enraged. Maybe he has anger management problems.

"What the hell are you doing in Ikebukuro, huh, IZAYA? I thought I told you never to set foot in Ikebukuro, IZAYA." His aura grew immensely dark. He he started to unroot two vending machines from the ground. His voice rumbled like thunder as it boomed, "IZAYA!"

Then, it all hit you, metaphorically of course. You realized that your stalker is indeed Izaya Orihara. This means that he must know everything about you, not that you have any secrets or anything, but that's creepy. This man is still on top of you, another realization that creeps you out. He is about to take on Shizuo Heiwajima, who currently held a vending machine in each hand, a drink one in his left and a snack one in his right.

If Izaya is really as clever as he must be and can really take on this crazed beast, then he is undoubtedly the most dangerous man in all of Ikebukuro. Hence, your stalker is the most dangerous man in Ikebukuro. You didn't know if he's a psychopath or not, but you started to fear the worst. One more thing, two vending machines are hurdling right at you.

Suddenly, you were flying. Well, you stupidly hoped you were. What the hell is wrong with this city? Izaya Orihara had you in his arms. You were at least twenty feet in the air. He was cradling you, throwing knives at Shizuo, dodging large objects, and making an escape all at the same time. Oh look, he's talking trash, too.

"My, my, Shizu-chan." He cooed. Wait, Shizu-chan? What are they... lovers? "Your temper almost killed _______. That's why I hate you. You're too violent to even be a human." He smirked.

Oh great, he does know you. How did everything get so weird so quickly? Oh, Shizuo must have killed you. That's what this is. This isn't real life. This is far too strange to be happening. Maybe you're unconscious right now in a hospital bed somewhere. That would be nice. It would be even better if you were mentally ill and these two psychos were just a figment of your imagination. Too bad the truth can be so weird.

Izaya ran off with you, escaping from the strongest human being in the world with severe anger problems. Where the hell is this guy taking you? Great, now you're lost.

"Don't worry, _____-chan. You're safe now." Your stalker assured you. Good. The young man whipped out his flip phone and dialed up a number. As he waited for an answer, you quietly tried to make a run for it. He easily flicked a knife out. "Not so fast, _____-chan. I can get you home." He smirked. Deranged psychopath hypothesis confirmed. The freak got an answer and said, "I have a job for you."

Apparently, the creep called the headless rider to pick you up and take you home. Perhaps this was the most normal thing to happen tonight. You were just hoping that this headless rider guy wasn't another psycho.

"Well, I'm off. If you run into Shizu-chan tell him I say hi. You interest me, _____-chan. I bet we're going to have lots of fun together. A human being that doesn't love her god, is there anything more exciting than that?" He called to you. He threw one hand over his shoulder, waving and the other was in his pocket as he skipped off.

You were frazzled. First of all, you were gonna ask the guy to stop being so familiar with you, but you had some... other concerns at the moment. Like hell the two of you will have fun together! What a sicko! Of course out of all the stalkers in the world, yours just wants to mess with you. The fact that he called himself a god, your god, made you believe that he wasn't done with you. More importantly, you were alone and waiting to hitchhike a ride from some stranger who, apparently, doesn't have a head.

You sat down on a random bench and waited. Then, a mysteriously tall and dark figure approached you. Could this night get any better? Actually, you were right, but not in a sarcastic way. You started crying when you saw it was Simon. You would be able to find your way back to work and head home from there. Simon gave you a look silently asking you what was up, so you decided to explain everything. "I met Izaya." You cried.

3. Interaction

Your suspicions about Izaya Orihara were proven correct. He believes that he is a god of all humans. He claims that he loves humans, so humans should love him. He hates Shizuo Heiwajima. He claims Shizuo is not a human. He messes with other humans besides you; you are simply the newest addition to his collection. He is a sadist and a suspected sadist and masochist. He is definitely not stable mentally, but he is very intelligent. He is your stalker. He is, indeed, annoying as hell.

He started talking to you on a daily basis after the night he so kindly introduced himself to you. He approached you and said, "Why hello, _____-chan. I was worried about you because I heard you mysteriously disappeared last night. I was afraid that Shizu-chan got his hands on you, so I'm here to check on you. I simply couldn't let that irrelevant speck of dust dirty up my new favorite human."

"Stop being so familiar with me. Simon picked me up. You checked on me, and I'm fine. Humans have a thing that gods don't seem to have. It's called work, and I'm going there. You can go bother another human or Shizuo." You said, emotionless. You wanted to punch him really badly, but he's dangerous and kind of your stalker.

He stepped in front of you. "My, my _____-chan, that's harsh. Don't you think _____-chan is a cute pet name? You should start calling me Izaya-kun. After all, we'd make a lovely couple. But, it's your choice. Since you acknowledged me as a god, then you can always call me Kami-sama."

Conversations like these continued on for months. You thought that eventually, they'd stop annoying you. Unfortunately, the opposite happened. The more that snake opened his mouth, the more you wanted to strangle him until he was dead. You began to vent your frustrations to Shizuo. The two of you became fast friends. You also picked up the habit of smoking when you talked to him. You always wondered why that guy always had a cig, but you found that you needed when Izaya really exhausted you.

You hated Izaya. He pissed you off. Sure he became less of a stalker when he actually talked to you, but you still called him your stalker. Sometimes, you would call him a stalker to his face. Somehow, you managed to bear the conversations for a few months. You knew you'd snap one day, and eventually you did.

4. Attraction

"Orihara-san, I've had it! You piss me off! Do you ever shut up? Talking to you is exhausting. We have the same conversation ever single day. Because of you, I started smoking with Shizuo-kun! I hate you! Stop stalking me!" You shouted. You were done.

"After all these months, you still call me Orihara-san. It hurts me, _____-chan. I can't believe you still think of me as a stalker. Well, you were interesting for a while, but you're no fun anymore. Talking to you exhausts me. It takes so much effort just to start up one conversation with you. Well, I'm bored. Anyways, I have other business to attend to. I'm off then, _____-chan!" He fake smiled as he said your name before running off.

In all honestly, Izaya didn't like it when you called him a stalker. When he saw you in the city, he simply trailed you because he didn't know you, and he was bored. He never thought that you'd be able to tell. You must have good instincts. You even outwitted him for a moment when you caught him. He smirked, thinking about how much fun you'd be.

Naturally, because of his job, he learned everything about you. Sure he had some questionable ways of getting information, but he isn't a stalker. He's an information broker. He does it for a living. Well anyways, the crimson eyed creep took a liking to you. You were unpredictable. You were highly intelligent and capable of doing something amazing, yet here you were, holding a sign for a living and loving it.

If you were merely rebelling and your high status parents wanted you back, you would be gone by now. This meant that a very fortunate girl just decided to live in a shady city by herself. Izaya didn't know anyone like you. Eventually, he began to talk to you. He wanted to see you be unpredictable. You began smoking on occasion, which he didn't see coming. You also weren't afraid of Shizuo, even though you should have been. It's the stuff like this that he wanted to get out of you. Oh how he loved your reactions!

However, the more time he spent with you, the more he became interested in you. He wanted to know the things he couldn't find out. What kind of stuff do you like? What do you really think about the city and its inhabitants. What do you really think about him? Of course Izaya couldn't let you know that you had some power over him, so he just played off your insults and decided to stay away from you for a while.

You were finally at peace. Izaya didn't bother you at all this week. You felt a little anxious not having him around, but that's only natural. It is a natural human response to feel this way, you convinced yourself.

"Hey, that's her! She's the girl who's friends with Shizuo Heiwajima!" A guy screamed. He was wearing yellow. His ugly face looked kind of familiar. Oh yeah, that's the guy who accidentally hit Shizuo. Wait a minute, how is he alive?

Before you knew it, you were laying down in a bright room. You weren't able to look around at everything, but you could tell it was some sort of hospital. Maybe everything was a dream. That would be nice if it was. You were really banking on Izaya being a figment of your imagination.

You slowly blinked and looked around the room. You glanced at your arm first to make sure you still looked like you. You didn't want to push yourself if you were suddenly an old lady or something. What? You didn't know how long you were out for. You strained your neck and tried to lift your head up. It was difficult, but you pulled it off.

You frowned. At the foot of your bed, Izaya Orihara was hunched over. What the hell is he doing? Oh, he's asleep. You never really saw Izaya as anything but a mega yandere, but for some reason, he looked kind of cute right now. Okay, you must have gotten hit in the head or something because Izaya Orihara is the opposite of cute. You stole another look, realizing that if he wasn't an awful person, you would find him attractive.

"_____-chan?" A sleepy Orihara mumbled. Okay, that was seriously cute. Did he secretly capture you? Is he acting like this so you'll lower your guard around him? Izaya was always plotting something. Billions of terrible scenarios flooded your brain.

"_____-chan!" He mumbled again. Oh, he's sleep talking or fake sleep talking. You tried to sit up to hear him, but you failed miserably. Then, he got a little louder. "_____-chan, I'm sorry!" He wined.

You were starting to get even more freaked out. Who was this cutie, and how did he get rid of that pest Izaya? Izaya would never apologize or pout like that. Talk about out of character. "Izaya-kun, is that you?" You asked, scared.

His head shot up. "_____-chan? You're awake?" He asked, slowly. He really must have been sleeping. Izaya would never slip like that when he was conscious. "Oh, _____-chan! I knew you'd wake up! You're probably wondering what happened. I'm willing to tell you, but it won't be free of charge." Oh, he's back.

"What happened?" You wondered, suddenly feeling dizzy.

"Shizu-chan happened. Believe it or not, I don't actually know the full story. I don't need to, though. He probably hit you with some vending machine." He chucked. "That's why he isn't here now. He doesn't want to face you. Oh, how interesting things have become!" He rambled.

"Why didn't you stop him?" You carefully questioned.

Izaya stopped his celebrating. "I couldn't. I wasn't there." He replied.

"What? Really? Weren't you lurking in the shadows or something?" You asked.

He frowned. "I wasn't. Oh, _____-chan! I'm never leaving my most precious human alone ever again!" He dramatically announced as he flopped onto your bed. "Oh no, Shizu-chan is way too dangerous now, so I'm your only friend." He smiled.

"Izaya-kun, you're not my friend." You fired.

"Izaya-kun? So you agree that we're friends then?" He smirked. Damn. You didn't mean to call him that.

    "Drop dead." You scoffed.

"Uh, uh, uh! _____-chan, do you forget our deal already? That vending machine must have hit you harder than I thought." Izaya teased.

"As far as I'm concerned, we didn't make any deals." You spat.

"I broke some information to you about the accident, remember? Now you owe me." He said, smiling.

"Fine, whatever. What do I owe you?" You asked, too tired to care.

"One favor. I can call it in at any time." He said as he scooted up the bed. He snuggled into you, but you were too weak to even struggle.

"Fine." You said. This is going to be a long ass recovery.

5. Date

A couple months have passed since the accident, and you've fully recovered. You haven't seen Shizuo-kun as much as you'd like to. He was keeping his distance from you until he could get a better hold of his anger. On the contrary, you've been seeing Izaya much more than you'd like. He's been bugging you more than usual as of late.

You came to the city in the spring. It was now winter. You almost spent a year in Ikebukuro already. The holidays were quickly approaching, and the place seemed busier than ever. You were able to buy gifts for everyone before it got too busy.

You made friends with Celty and Shinra. They make a really sweet couple. You also met Kyohei, Erika, Walker, and Saburo. Recently, a high school kid with dirty blonde hair started to hit on you, and he was quite the little pest. He was friends with another boy who was shy but sweet and girl with glasses and big boobs. Somehow, you kept running into them. Everyone you knew was somehow connected to one another, and Izaya probably knew how everything fit together.

One of the things you liked about your new life was that Bukuro had this way of presenting things you were looking for. You bought a really cool set of Russian nesting dolls that were sushis online for Simon. You didn't even look for them, you just stumbled across them. In fact, that's how you found all your gifts. You got Celty a kitten cellphone keychain. For Shinra, you found really cheesy gold dissection kit, but he'd be into it. You got Kyohei a cool new headscarf. For Erika and Walker, you just bought a ton of anime t-shirts. You got one of those mirror accessories for cars for Saburo. You got some gold earrings for Kida. You didn't know his other two friends well, so you got them chocolates.

Your best gift by far was the one you got for Shizuo. After all, it was a ton of different presents in one. It was a Shizuo care package equipped with milk, sweets, bar tending supplies, a pack of cigarettes, and sunglasses that were supposedly designed for night. It was Shizuo in a basket. You even found a good gift for Izaya. You'd rather let Shizuo play mercy with you than actually give it to him, though. The glass chess pieces sat in the corner of your apartment.

It was finally Christmas day, and you decided to go play Santa Claus. You managed to find everybody without Izaya. Everyone love their gifts, and you got a lot gifts in return. All of them were a little strange. Simon gave you a coupon to Russia Sushi, but that was expected. Celty got you some bracelet that was supposed to protect you from aliens, whatever that means. Shinra gave you a dissected frog, which you disposed of. Kyohei gave you some random book. He probably thinks you're some nerd. Erika and Walker gave you one of their old manga series. Kida bought you a bracelet that was obviously meant for couples. His two friends gave you considerably normal gifts: a phone keychain with flowers on it and some candy.

Shizuo got you the best gift ever. He didn't spend any money on it, either. Apparently, Shizuo found a lost puppy out in the cold. He decided that if nobody claimed it for a month, he would give it to you since he didn't feel like buying a gift. That's why he was avoiding you. Shizuo seemed pretty attached to it, but he also had to be so careful around it that it drove him insane. You were in love with your little pup and you decided to name it Shizuo. After all, it had shaggy golden fur and deep brown eyes. Shizuo got all tsundere and claimed that he didn't like the name, but he totally did.

Shizuo number two, or Shizuo Nigou, had a little red collar and makeshift rope leash. You were overjoyed. Shizuo seemed to be enjoying his present as well. In fact, he was smoking it. He said something about having to go collect debt and ran off. You didn't mind, you had Nigou with you. You left Shizuo's and made your way back to your apartment. Shizuo Nigou is by far the best gift you have ever received.

So far, Izaya didn't bother you. It was a Christmas miracle. You didn't really want a present from him. It would probably be something demeaning, perverted, or twisted. It could possibly be all of the above. In fact, it probably was.

Christmas was magical, though. The streets were pretty empty. Even Russia Sushi was closed. However, lights still shone brightly. You smiled to yourself and enjoyed your first walk with your puppy. On your joyous walk home, your phone rang. It was a call from a blocked number. Frowning, you decided to pick up. "I don't want to buy any products, please leave me alone." You snapped. You heard someone breathing on the other line and it freaked you out. "Hello? This is _______. Who is this?" You cautiously said.

It was Izaya. Joy to the world. "_____-chan! Merry Christmas! I'm glad you picked up. I thought-"

You cut him off. "Yeah, yeah. Look, I didn't get a present for you so please don't get me one." You lied.

"No worries, _____-chan. I didn't. I was just calling to wish you a merry Christmas. That and I need my favor now." Whoop, there it is. Izaya elaborated on his reason for the call. "I need you to find a store, any store in all of Ikebukuro, that's open today. I want you to go in and buy something for Namie." He instructed.

You never even got to meet Namie, you only heard about his secretary through stories. You had no idea what this woman would be into. You sighed, "Look, Izaya, it's really nice of you to want to get her a gift, but everything is closed. I'm out right now. Can't you give her a bonus or something?" You reasoned.

"I guess it can't be helped." Izaya sighed then hung up.

You began to continue your walk home. Suddenly, it started snowing. Christmas really can be magical. Your puppy's first Christmas is going to be wonderful! Saying you're obsessed with Shizuo Nigou is like saying Erika and Walker think that anime and manga are just okay. You just wished that you had a little buddy for Shizuo Nigou since you live by yourself.

"Surprise, _____-chan! I'm here!" Izaya announced. He frowned. You didn't react to him at all. Instead, you were awing at someone's dog. "Who's dog is that anyways?" Izaya asked, bored.

"Mine! Isn't he sweet! Shizuo gave him to me. His name's Shizuo Nigou!" You exclaimed, still more engrossed with the puppy than human.

Izaya bent down to pet the pooch. Shizuo Nigou bit his hand. You rewarded the little guy with a pat on the head. Izaya smirked. "_____-chan, aren't you afraid of this dog? I mean it is named after Shizu-chan after all. It would be a shame if the dog was too-"

"Cut it out, Izaya. Can't you be normal for once?" You interrupted. "What are you doing here anyways?" You rudely interrogated.

"I only came to see you..." He started. You gave him a look. "What? I decided to give Namie a bonus and change my favor." He grinned, and you didn't like it.

    "Can't it wait?" You moaned.

"No. It has to be today. I want you to spend Christmas with me at my apartment." He stated. How direct and scary. He was obviously planning something awful. You just wanted to get this stupid favor over with, so you agreed.

The snow fell at an increasingly dangerous rate. Your jacket didn't have a hood. You started to shake, why the hell is there a random blizzard in Bukuro? This place just gets weirder and weirder every day. As you were shivering and your teeth chattered, Izaya stripped his parka off and threw it over your head.

"Wow, that was unexpectedly corny." You noted. "This isn't some shojou manga, you don't have to do this." You argued.

"It's not, but I had to. This is a date after all." Izaya informed you.

For the first time in his life, Izaya Orihara blushed. He'll never admit it, though. It was simply just the cold Christmas weather.
